ANSWERING ALL YOUR QUESTIONS
As we are now able to return to class, we want to make sure your health and safety is our number 1 priority! We have done our COVID training and have implemented changes in the studio to ensure we are helping stop the the spread of COVID. Everyone will now be required to bring their own yoga mat and sweat towel to classes. We will have hand sanitizer available around the studio along with additional cleaning products to clean your mats and poles. We ask all our members to continue practicing social distancing and if you are feeling even the slightest unwell, stay home until you are recovered.
DO I HAVE TO ATTEND THE SAME CLASS EVERY WEEK?
You can use your credits to attend any classes you like. You can opt to sign up for the same class for the whole term, but we know life can get busy and sometimes you won't be able to make that class. Not to worry, you can cancel out of your class (6HRS prior) and use that credit to attend another class. You can use your credits however you please.
WHAT DO I WEAR TO A POLE CLASS?
You can wear whatever you feel comfortable in or something you would usually wear to a gym class. We do recommend bringing shorts with you to change in to so the skin on your legs can grip to the pole
I HAVE NEVER DONE POLE, WHAT GOES ON IN A CLASS AND HOW LONG IS A TERM
Our terms run for 8 weeks, in each class you will go through a warm up, work on strength and conditioning exercises and then learn pole sits, spins and tricks, finishing off with a cool down
DO I HAVE TO WEAR HEELS?
Tricks classes are mainly done without heels. Some dance classes, heels are preferred based on the style of dance. However, heels are absolutely optional and you don't have to wear heels. Most of our students start out without them but once they feel more confident they get a pair for themselves! We do Pleaser heels pre-orders, message us if interested in purchasing!
WHAT ELSE SHOULD I BRING TO CLASS?
If you are doing a dance class we recommend bringing knee pads (available for purchase in studio). Bring a yoga mat (available for purchase in studio), a bottle of water to stay hydrated and a sweat towel.
I DON'T HAVE ANY STRENGTH, CAN I STILL JOIN?
Absolutely! Everyone is starting out as a beginner and in the same position you are. You will gradually build strength in classes each week. Pole is just another form of fitness, just the fun kind ;)
HOW DO I BOOK MY CLASSES?
We use an online booking system called Mindbody. Once you have created an account with Mindbody, you can login and purchase your desired credit package based off how many classes you want to do per week. You can then book in to all your desired classes for the term using your credits. You are able to cancel your class and have your credit returned to your account, you will need to cancel 6 hours prior to the class start time otherwise your credit will be forfeited. WHAT IF I CAN'T ATTEND A CLASS?
If you are unable to attend a class, you can login to your Mindbody account and cancel the class. If you cancel out before 6 hours of class start time, the credit will go back to your account so you can use on another class. If you cancel out within 6 hours you will lose your credit. Please make sure you cancel out of your classes if you can't attend so that those that may be on a waitlist will drop in the class in your place.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I AM ON A CLASS WAITLIST?
If you are on a class waitlist and someone cancels out of the class, you will receive an email and/or text letting you know that you have been added to the class.
CAN I GET A REFUND ON MY COURSE?
Please make sure you choose wisely when purchasing your course for the term as there are no refunds on course purchases.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I HAVE CREDITS LEFT OVER BY THE END OF TERM?
Credits do not roll over to the new term and cannot be transferred, so make sure you use your credits within the term. If you can't attend your usual class, you can book in to attend any other class suited to your level.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I BECOME INJURED AND AM UNABLE TO ATTEND CLASSES?
All you have to do is message us on our Facebook page or Instagram page and we will discuss your options with you. Your health and recovery is our number one priority.
HOW DO I KNOW WHAT DANCE CLASS IS SUITABLE FOR MY LEVEL?
Easy, check out our Dance Classes tab on this website and it will have the class descriptions. You can also check out what the style of dance will look like by going to the teachers Instagram. In the dance class descriptions we have included the teachers Instagram handle.
HOW DO I JOIN THE JUST POLE FITNESS PRIVATE FACEBOOK GROUP?
All you have to do is go to the search bar on facebook and type #jpfsquad and click join.
DO I HAVE TO PERFORM AT SHOWCASE NIGHTS IF I DO DANCE CLASSES
No this is absolutely optional, if you aren't ready to perform, come watch the show and see what it's all about!
